Philippine General Order No. 5

General Order Number 5 is the ordinance that implemented Proclamation No. 1017 that placed the Philippine in a "state of national emergency" announced by Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on February 24, 2006 after the alleged foiled coup attempt against the Arroyo administration.
