Hallam Football Club are a football club in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, who currently play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Founded in 1860 they are one of the oldest football clubs in the world with Sheffield also being the home of the oldest club in the world, the Sheffield Club who were founded in 1857.

Hallam still play on their original ground, Sandygate Road, which is officially recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as "The Oldest Ground in the World". Sandygate is in western Sheffield. In 1861 Hallam first played Sheffield in a local derby which is still contested today. This 'Sheffield' (note not 'Steel City') derby is considered the oldest contested derby (still going) of any football code, in the world. Therefore, it is probably one of the oldest organised team-sport derbies in the world, besides those found in cricket.

In 1867 the club made football history when they won the Youdan Cup, the world's first ever organised football tournament when they beat fellow Sheffield club Norfolk in the final played at Bramall Lane. Recent times

Hallam have competed in the Northern Counties East League since its formation in 1982, with their best position being third in the Premier Division in 2002-03.

In the 2006-07 Hallam got to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and Quarter Finals of the League Cup, and league form included large wins over Brodsworth, Pickering and Eccleshill.

Guy Glover was replaced by assistant manager Darren Bland as manager and Billy Fox (previously the Under 19's manager) took Bland's position.

2008/2009 sees Peter Hogan takeover as chairman and with new signings of a high standard 2009 could be a brilliant year for the Countrymen
*The club also features in the film "When Saturday Comes".
