Prior to division of student talent with Daphne High School, Fairhope was a perennial contender in many team sports and earned several state tiles.The 2006 won-loss record was 3-8.

The Buccaneer Band of FHS is directed by Director Will Duncan, assisted by Robert Allen.The Color Guard program is designed by Phillip Davis, who is assisted by LaVon Adams. The 2008-2009 show is titled "American Western" and consists of three songs revolving around the western cowboy time period. With a song even from "The Magnificent 7", "A Promise of Living" and "Hoedown"
