Lincoln Prize

The Lincoln Prize, endowed by Richard Gilder and Lewis Lehrman and administered by the Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College, has been awarded annually since 1991 for the best non-fiction historical work of the year on the American Civil War. Laureates

The prize has been split equally between two entries on three occasions (1992, 2000, and 2008). Recipients of the $50,000 prize have included:
