Amrit Singh

Amrit Singh

Amrit Singh is a staff attorney at the ACLU. She is the youngest daughter of Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh. She has fought for the release of thousands of documents under the Right to Information Act. She has also investigated allegations of torture at American prisons in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay.

Singh is married to Barton Beebe, an associate professor of law of Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is a co author in a book named "Administration of Torture". [ [http://www.aclu.org/about/staff/administrationoftorture.html ACLU page] ]
