"Fear of Flying" is the second studio by American R&B singer Mya, released by Interscope Records on April 25, 2000 in the United States. The album featured production by Wyclef Jean, Swizz Beatz, Rodney Jerkins, Robin Thicke, among others. It spawned three singles: the Swizz Beatz-produced "The Best Of Me", the "Billboard Hot 100" number two song Case Of The Ex, and the Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis-produced "Free". The album debut at number fifteen on the "Billboard 200" chart in May 2000 with first-week sales of 72,000. It helped Mya land a Soul Train Music Award nomination for Best R&B/Soul album. "Case Of The Ex" became Mya's biggest hit to date and most succcessful as an solo artist. Due to the success of "Case Of The Ex", Interscope Records re-released "Fear Of Flying" on November 7, 2000 with two new tracks titled Again & Again and Free. Free was even more pop-friendly and became quite successful at pop radio and MTV's TRL. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA on March 28, 2001.
