Kristian Schultze is one half of the German
New Age band Cusco. Schultze has partnered up withMichael Holm and the two have produced numerous new age albums. However, Schultze is less prominent of the duo, as Holm has been leading figure in the band's composition. The two met in late 1970s where they discovered they shared a similar interest in pre-colonial America.Biography

21 January 1945 is the son ofNorbert Schultze , the composer of "Lili Marleen", and Iwa Wanja, a famous actress and singer in her time.He grew up inHamburg ,Rio de Janeiro andBerlin .He got his musical education at Konservatorium and Musikhochschule Berlin, Wiener Akademie and Jazzschool Graz.He moved to Munich in 1968 where he worked as composer,arranger, producer and musician for various artists, for movies , tv and theater.As a keyboard player ,he joined the group "PASSPORT" ofKlaus Doldinger in 1973 and recorded the albums "Looking thru","Cross collateral" (sic),"Infinity-machine" and "Iguacu" with them.They undertook tours ofAsia ,United States .,Australia and Brazil and, of course, inGermany .In 1977, he left the band and played in the group "Snowball" with Curt Cress (dr), Dave King (b) and Roy Albrighton, the former leadsinger with NEKTAR.In 1979Michael Holm started the studio-project "CUSCO" together with Kristian Schultze as arranger and keyboarder.
