Andrew Carnie (born
April 19 ,1969 ) is anAssociate Professor ofLinguistics at theUniversity of Arizona . He is the author or coauthor of seven books, and has several papers published on formal syntactic theory and on the lingustic aspects of theIrish language . He was born in Calgary,Alberta .
