"Cantando Por Un Sueño" (English: "Singing for a Dream") is a single released only in Mexico. After its release as a promo single only for Mexico, was decided to be included on Thalía's re-edition of her "El Sexto Sentido" album; "".

The song

"Cantando Por Un Sueño" was written and produced by Estéfano and Julio Reyes and it was the title song of the Mexican TV reality show titled "Cantando por un sueño" too. The song is about pursuing your dreams, whatever you want to be.

Music video

The music video for "Cantando por un sueño" was directed by Jeb Brien and Rubén Galindo and shot in "Televisa San Angel", the Mexican TV studios.

In the video, Thalía is a seamstress who dreams of being a popstar. She goes to an audition for the TV show "Cantando Por Un Sueño", sings at the audition and is picked to participate in the show. In the second half of the video, we find Thalía singing on "Cantando por un sueño"'s stage, being as one of the two finalists. Finally, she wins the contest.
