"Even Now" is the sixth studio album by singer-songwriter Barry Manilow. The album was recorded at A&M Studios in Hollywood, California, released in 1978. The album reached triple platinum and spun off four hit singles in 1978 and early 1979: the title song, "Can't Smile Without You", "Copacabana", and "Somewhere in the Night" (which had previously been a hit in 1976 for Helen Reddy). The 2006 CD rerelease replaces the album track version of Copacabana with the extended disco version.

Barry Manilow"s version of Somewhere in the Night is not the same as Helen Reddys. Following are the lyrics to the Somewhere in the Night song that is sung by Barry Manilow and later by Scott Bakula on Quantum Leap. You can also listen to this version of it on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4CxccrLaTUSomewhere in the NightOn the day I walked away. All the blue rolled into gray. Now in the dark alone at night.Should have stopped , but I could never ever stay.

Somewhere in the night.Inside my dreams you burn so bright. And I’m with you there. And everything’s alright.

Somewhere in the night. Before the darkness turns to light.Let me love you there.Somewhere in the night.

Second chances I won’t get.Wouldn’t dare to hold and yet.Everywhere I turn I see your silhouette.Been so long but I never will forget.

Somewhere in the night.Inside my dreams you burn so bright. And I’m with you there. And everything’s alright.

Somewhere in the night. Before the darkness turns to light.Let me love you there.Somewhere in the night.

Time after time. You find that I’m thinking about you.Up on the hill.I see you still. But I just can’t reach you.

Who would answer your prayers?Who would wait by the stairs? Not me… Not me….

Somewhere in the night.Inside my dreams you burn so bright. And I’m with you there. And everything’s alright.

Somewhere in the night. Before the darkness turns to light.Let me see your face.Feel your warm embrace.Let me love you.Somewhere in the night.
