Lake Tahoe Community College

Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is a community college located in South Lake Tahoe, California. At an altitude of convert|6229|ft|m, it is the highest college in the state. The college opened in 1975 and services approximately 3,500 students every quarter.

The convert|164|acre|km2|sing=on campus contains a 192-seat black box theater; science, computer, and art labs; a convert|26000|sqft|m2|sing=on gymnasium; a demonstration garden; and a convert|27000|sqft|m2|sing=on library and art gallery, which opened in September 2006. A student center that includes a cafe, internet terminals, and teaching kitchens for the culinary arts program opened in 2002.

The college has full accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Equivalent and transferable courses successfully completed at LTCC are given full credit by the University of California and California State University systems.
