Tsestos

Tsestos,(Cestoto), (Rençper) is a challenging dance is from Greece's Rumelia Region, next to the Bulgarian border. It was probably brought by Greeks who were expelled from Bulgaria after the first world war. This dance starts with a moderate rhythm, danced by both men and women with very few figures. As it goes on men come in front and they catch each other zonari (belt). At this point the dance is very quick and it consists of figures only.
