He beganskiing at age eight, before turning tosnowboarding at age ten. In 1989, after competing in both sports for a few years, he stopped skiing to focus mainly on snowboarding. Wescott has competed in theX Games , winning a bronze in atWinter X Games XI , and he became involved inSnowboard Cross in 1997, going on to win a gold medal at its2006 Winter Olympics debut inTurin ,Italy . 3 silvers and 4 bronzes in Winter X Games.Wescott co-owns The Rack, a popular restaurant and bar near Sugarloaf that caters to skiers and snowboarders. His mother, Margaret Gould-Wescott, teaches modern dance at the
