- International Guild of Knot Tyers
The International Guild of Knot Tyers, based in the United Kingdom, is an association for people with an interest in knot tying. Their goals are to preserve traditional techniques, promote an interest in the public, and develop new techniques for knot tying. No level of expertise is required for membership.
International Guild of Knot Tyers assisted with revisions and corrections to "The Ashley Book of Knots" in 1979. At least one knot, Hunter's bend (ABOK #1425A), was added.
