Kayumars of Delhi

Kayumars of Delhi

Kayumars (1290) was a Muslim and Sultan of Delhi of medieval India during the waning years of the Mamluk dynasty (or Slave dynasty). He was the son of Muiz ud din Qaiqabad (1286-1290) and was declared ruler at the age of three, once his father had suffered from a paralytic stroke and later murdered by a Khilji chief. However, Kayumars' guardian, Jalal ud din Firuz Khilji, eventually dethroned Kayumars and declared himself king, thus bringing an end to the Mamluk dynasty of Delhi.
