Bitch Magnet was a
post-hardcore band during the late 1980s and early 1990s who formed atOberlin College inOhio and later moved toNorth Carolina . Their first release was a cassette under the nameStop Vegetable Abuse . They released their first record in 1988 and all of the band's full-lengthalbums were released on Communion Records. Lead singer Sooyoung Park and Lexi Mitchell later joined Mac McCaughan ofSuperchunk fame to form the band Seam.David Grubbs , who was a founding member ofSquirrel Bait , left the band and startedBastro . Orestes Morfin went on to drum forWalt Mink .Members
