Semyon Minaker

Semyon Minaker is a weightlifting coach from Belarus who is also World and Euro Masters Weightlifting Champion.

He was born in 1948, and has been a weightlifting coach since 1972, involved in the training of many high-ranking weightlifters. Since 1991 he has been a coach of the Maccabi Haifa weightlifting team.

Semyon Minaker has the rank of “USSR Master of Sport”, “Honored Coach of Belarus”, IWF referee, World and Euro Masters Weightlifting Champion and record-holder. He is the author of some publications in the yearbook "Heavy Athletics" and monographs that formulate a “law of development of physical abilities by training”. His theories discuss how and what can be done to develop quickly and maximally the strength, speed, endurance and other physical abilities of humans.
