"Window Water Baby Moving" is a short film by Stan Brakhage, filmed in November 1958 and released in 1959, which documents, in a very loose and poetic but also frank way, the birth of his first child. Originally Brakhage planned on filming his wife in the hospital, but at the time this film was made, cameras were not allowed inside the birthing room.
