The American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI) is a not-for-profit trade association based in the United States that is dedicated to the advancement of horology. Horology is the study of time keeping devices. AWCI provides educational and technical services for members and referral services for the general public. AWCI has members throughout the world, and works with major manufacturers, retail stores and independent horologists to further horological training and awareness.
Continuing education and certification in watchmaking and clockmaking are offered by AWCI. A monthly magazine, "Horological Times", is the official publication of AWCI. Books and videos on various horological topics are available for sale to everyone and for rent by its members.
