Tarporley is a large village and civil parish in Cheshire, England.

Once a notorious traffic bottleneck it is now bypassed by the A49 and A51 roads, however, the village still has major issues regarding traffic through the High Street and Eaton Lane, this is mainly due to inadequate off street parking facilities and illegal parking. At the 2001 Census, the population was 2,634.citeweb |url=http://neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/LeadTableView.do?a=3&b=792707&c=tarporley&d=16&e=15&g=429539&i=1001x1003x1004&m=0&r=1&s=1212093559456&enc=1&dsFamilyId=779 |title=2001 Census: Tarporley |publisher=Office for National Statistics |accessdate=2008-05-29] Tarporley forms part of Vale Royal borough.
