James Wynne (born
16 September 1976 inGunnedah, New South Wales ) is anAustralia n professionalrugby league player who formerly played for theNewcastle Knights in theNational Rugby League competition. Wynne currently plays in theFrench Rugby League Championship .During the 2001 and 2002 seasons, Wynne was the number-two halfback behind
Andrew Johns and was only able to secure five first-grade games. In 2003, Wynne found himself a starting position with French club,Toulouse Olympique , where he is now captain.In June, 2007, Wynne was selected for France (qualifying through residency) against Great Britain where he started from the bench.
