Edgar Award

The Edgar Allan Poe Awards (popularly called the Edgars), named after Edgar Allan Poe, are presented every year by the Mystery Writers of America. [Neimeyer, Mark. "Poe and Popular Culture," collected in "The Cambridge Companion to Edgar Allan Poe". Cambridge University Press, 2002. ISBN 0521797276 p. 206] They honor the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction, television, film and theatre published or produced in the past year.
