- William Edge (mathematician)
William Leonard Edge (November 8, 1904 – September 27, 1997) was a British mathematician most known for his work in finite geometry. Born in Stockport to schoolteacher parents, Edge attended Cambridge University. He later worked at the University of Edinburgh. A lifelong bachelor, Edge died in Bonnyrigg.
