History

The anime Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch was first broadcast on April 5, 2003 on TV Aichi in Japan. It ran for a total of 52 episodes, with a single episode broadcast every week.

The week after the broadcast of the final episode, a second series, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure, began broadcasting in "Pitch"'s original slot.
