29 August ,1942 inLos Angeles ,California –19 October ,2006 ) was an Americancinematographer who started off working in theWarner Bros. mail room, moved to the camera department and later worked as a cinematographer on feature motion pictures including asDirector of Photography of the American unit for "Return of the Jedi ", "Citizen Ruth ", "Election ", "About Schmidt " and others including "El Norte".In
2005 his work on theHBO television series "Deadwood", earned him anEmmy Award . Glennon also worked asDirector of Photography on a number of other television movies and program series, such as "The West Wing", along with "Carnivàle " and "Big Love " for HBO. His father was cinematographerBert Glennon . He had 4 brothers, Bert jr, John, Michael and Gregory.External links
