Västra skogen (Stockholm Metro)

Västra skogen (meaning "The Western Forest") is a Stockholm subway station in Huvudsta, Solna Municipality. The station was opened August 31 1975. It features the longest escalator in the Stockholm metro system, 66 meters. This part of Huvudsta was earlier called "Ingentingskogen" ("The Nothing Forest") after a small farm called "Ingenting" and the name Ingenting ("Nothing") was suggested as a name for the new station, but rejected.
