Michael "Butch" McColly Johnson (born May 28, 1954 in Los Angeles, California) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for ten seasons for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He played from 1976-1983 with the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos from 1984-1985. He played collegiate football at UC Riverside. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as the 87th player overall in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft. In Super Bowl XII he caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Roger Staubach. In Super Bowl XIII he scored another touchdown becoming only the second player to score touchdowns in back-to-back Super Bowls.
Butch Johnson's touchdown celebration was know as the "California Quake". He would simulate pulling guns out of holsters and proceed to shoot them and shake.
