Robert Allan Cruickshank (
November 16 ,1894 –August 27 ,1975 ) was a prominent Scottishgolf er on the PGA circuit from the early 1920s to the mid-1930s. He was born inGrantown-on-Spey ,Scotland and first rose to prominence in reaching the semi-finals of the 1922 and 1923PGA Championship , losing both times to eventual championGene Sarazen . Also was runner-up in the 1923 and 1932 U.S. Open, and won 17 tour events in his career. His greatest year was 1927, when he won the Los Angeles and Texas Opens and finished as the leading money winner for the year. He last won on tour in 1936. He finished 16 times in the top-10 at major championships.He died in
