Hymen Records

Hymen Records is an imprint of the Ant-Zen record label, founded in 1997. Hymen mainly releases material of a technoid, power noise/rhythmic noise, dark ambient, IDM, breakcore or similar experimental electronic nature.

Artists that have released music on the imprint include Imminent, Beefcake, Esplendor Geométrico, P.A.L, Architect, Converter, Snog, Scorn, Somatic Responses, Xanopticon, Venetian Snares, Hecate, Gridlock, Psi Spy, Kattoo and Tonikom.

Hymen uses a specific catalogue numbering scheme to denote the type of release, with ¥0xx for the 12" series with stamps on the cover, ¥4xx for LPs, CD3#, ¥6xx for promotional gimmicks such as t-shirts, posters, etc, and ¥7xx for CDs.
