The Centro Nazionale di Studi di Musica Popolare (CNSMP) was founded in 1948 by Giorgio Nataletti to document and preserve traditional folk music. The CNSMP was organized under the auspices of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and in collaboration with RAI.
