Maypole (band)

Maypole is a band from Baltimore, Maryland formed in 1969 by Dennis Tobell (also known as Denny Romans and Demian Bell) and Paul Welsh.

The group's first album was on the Colossus Label and also featured Kenny Ross, Steve Mace, and John Nickel. Of the five original members, only three survive: Dennis Tobell aka Demian Bell, Steve Mace, and John Nickel. The band has folded and reformed several times and currently performs mainly in Spain and Germany. Their albums are hard to get and expensive colectors items selling as high as $224.00 on eBayFact|date=February 2007. One of their albums has been re-released on Gearfab Records in 2006.and on Anopheles Records,(2006) on Vinyl in Lp form to critical acclaim and rave reviews.
