Misc = Originally titled "A Change", "A Change Would Do You Good" was released as the fourth single from Sheryl Crow's 1996 self-titled second album. It was preceded by "If It Makes You Happy", "Everyday Is A Winding Road", and "Hard To Make A Stand". It became another UK hit for her when it peaked at #8 in July of 1997.

Videos

Several versions of a music video were shot. The first video, directed by Crow and Lance Acord features Crow standing in the middle of a street playing a guitar while a second Crow is throwing her possessions (and eventually herself) out of an apartment building window. The second video, directed by Michel Gondry, shows Crow similar to the character Samantha from the TV show "Bewitched". She switches around characters' lives, such as a cab driver and teen garage band singer. Notable guests in this video are Ellen DeGeneres, Andy Dick, and Saturday Night Live veteran Molly Shannon. The final video is taken from a VH1 live performance. Out of all the versions released, only the first version appears on the DVD The Very Best of Sheryl Crow.
