Foo Wan Kien

Datuk Dr. Foo Wan Kien is a very successful car dealership businessman in Malaysia. He is the current executive chairman of the City Motors Group Sdn Bhd. He was born in 1942 in the Malaysian state of Perak.

Business

Foo spends most of his time in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong instead of his head office in the Foo Yet Kai Building at Jalan Sultan Iskandar. Most of his plantation and aquaculture businesses are in Perak. His other business interests includes construction, property development and investment, plywood and wood products and trading.

Philantrophy

Dr. Foo is well known in donating money to help the poor. Recently, at his daughter's wedding, he announced an RM10 million trust fund for the future generations to assist the needy and the poor. He also said the money from the fund would come from the earnings of his proposed convert|200|acre|km2|sing=on oil palm plantation in the country and from rentals of a proposed 50-unit apartment building in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

Personal

His father Foo Yet Kai was also a well known philanthropist and businessman. He tries to emulate the values his father passed down to him, such as helping his 100 odd member family. Dr. Foo comes from a family of 19 siblings.
