Granthi

Granthi

Granthi (literal meaning: "the keeper and the reader of the Sikh scripture") is a person of either gender, who performs the reading of the Guru Granth Sahib at religious occasions. The Granthi also performs the morning rites (prakash of Guru Granth Sahib), reading the paath and sukhasan.
