Catfish and The Crawdaddies is an American
Blues -based band fromSacramento, California founded in 1985 that has released three notable CDs: ""I'm So Glad (2007)", ""Venus Blues" (2003)" and ""Blues from Another Delta" (1998)". Their music has also been featured on the discs "Sacramento Blues" and "Sacramento Blues Too". They have brought out a sound and style of music that is somewhat indigenous to theSacramento River Delta region. This "Other Delta" music is a Blues based sound with different cultures mixed in includingLouisiana ,West coast jazz & Blues with mixtures of acoustic Blues,Folk music andRock and Roll . Their music has been heard on radio stations all over the world includingSpain ,Australia ,Canada ,Germany ,France ,London &Japan . In2005 they won a SAMMIE (Sacramento Area Music Award) for "Outstanding Blues Band".As of 2007 the band consists of Ray "Catfish" Copeland (
guitar , vocals), Phil Minas (drums, vocals), Jim Monroe (piano , vocals), Dale Lyberger (bass, vocals) and Stan Powell (harmonica , guitar, vocals).
