Thatcham ,Berkshire ,England . Currently they are members of theSouthern League Division One South and West .History
The club was founded in 1894 as simply Thatcham F.C. (a name they retained until 1974) and played in the Reading Temperance League where they remained until they became founder members of the
Hellenic League in 1953. During the 60s and 70s the club bounced between the Premier Division and Division One numerous times before joining theAthenian League for the 1982-83 season. However, the league was disbanded two seasons later and Thatcham Town joined theLondon Spartan League .The club spent another two-year stint in that league before becoming founder members of the
Wessex League in 1986. In the 1988-89 season, they reached the Quarter-Finals of theFA Vase . Their best performance in theFA Cup was a fourth qualifying round loss to Boreham Wood in 1996-97. They remained in the Wessex League until they achieved promotion in 2005-06 following a second place finish.Ground
Having previously played at The Marsh in
Dunston Green , Brownsfield (the home of the local cricket club) and Station Road, the club moved to a new ten-acre site at Waterside Park in 1992. The record attendance at their current home is 1,400 for the visit of Aldershot Town in the FA Vase in the 1993-94 season.Club records
