German Londoño is a
Colombia n artist fromMedellín . He is mostly known as a painter but recently has begun sculpting. His flair and youthful approach sets him apart. His exhibits have appeared in Paris and New York.Londoño's upbringing and indigent homeland are reflected in his paintings. One of Londoño's masterpieces is a sketch called "Looking at the Stars".
Though he is an international artist, he has kept his home in Colombia.
He greatly enjoyed his time painting and reflecting at
University of California, Santa Barbara , where he was a visiting artist.He has a unique way of living which is reflected in his art style and wisdom.
He is currently working on a collection called "Memorias del Mar" or Memories of the Sea, mostly predominated by the use of various shades of blue, which give a truly soothing effect to his masterpieces.
He self named his representation of the human anatomy as "Neo-Egipcia-Colombiana" or Neo-Egyptian-Colombian.
He began studying art aged 12 at
Libe de Zulategui 's Workshop "Galeria El Taller" In Medellín, Colombia.The author that he recalls as the most influential to his life is Picasso, yet the mild influence of others such as Matisse are irrefutable indeed.
