Arrhabonarii

The Arrhabonarii were a sect who held that the Eucharist is neither the real flesh or blood of Jesus Christ, nor yet the sign of them, but only the pledge or earnest thereof. The word is derived from the Greek polytonic|Ἀρραβων, "Arrha", "earnest".
