Ken Belford (born 1946) is a
poet fromBemont, Alberta presently (as of 2006 ) living inPrince George, British Columbia . He is known for his prolific chapbook making. Belford has been active in Canadian poetry since the 1960s.Belford was born in
Debolt, Alberta and he grew up inEast Vancouver . In the 1960s he moved toSmithers, British Columbia , where he lived with his first wife Alice Williams. For 35 years he operated a guiding and outfitting, ecotourism business. More recently, Belford moved to Prince George where he lives with his second wife, Si Transken.His first publisher,
Talon books also published some of the early work ofMargaret Atwood in the "Talon" magazine.Published works
