Xiang'an District (Chinese: 翔安区
Pinyin : Xiáng'ān Qū) is a district ofXiamen city on its eastern most mainland territory. It is situated inFujian Province in thePeople's Republic of China .History
Xiang'an District was created out of five towns (鎮) of
Tong'an District in May 2003:
* Xindian (新店)
* Xinyu (新圩)
* Maxiang (馬巷)
* Neicuo (內厝)
* Dadeng (大嶝)Transport
Xiamen city is constructing the Xiamen Xiang'an Tunnel which is about 9 kilometres long. This includes 5.95 kilometres of the tunnel under water.
