Richard Mansfield Dudley is Professor of Mathematics at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology . He received his PhD atPrinceton University in 1962 under the supervision ofEdward Nelson andGilbert Hunt .He has published over a hundred papers in peer-reviewed journals and has written several books. His specialty is
probability theory andstatistics , especiallyempirical process es.He is often noted for his results on the so-called Dudley entropy integral.
