St Ives Town is a football club based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, England. This St Ives Town must not be confused with the Cornwall Combination team playing in St Ives, Cornwall, which is also called St Ives Town.

History

After their formation in 1887, St Ives Town FC lived a peripatetic existence during their early years. The club played in the Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, United Counties and Central Amateur Leagues at different times.

After the Second World War the Saints joined the Central Amateur League in 1949, but a year later they opted for the more convenient United Counties League, joining the Second Division. However, the Saints struggled, and after two years they reverted to the Peterborough League. Their struggles continued as the club sank without trace in the league.

St Ives started to get their act together, rising through the divisions until in the early 1980s they were re-admitted to the UCL Division One for the 1985/86 season. After ten consecutive top-eight finishes, the Saints faltered a little, but they did enough in 2004/05 to finish third and earn promotion to the Premier Division for the first time. The Saints have held their own in the Premier Division, earning three top-ten finishes.

In the 2008/09 season, St Ives Town F.C. is playing in the Eagle Bitter United Counties Football League Premier Division, led by joint managers Warren Everdell and Jeremy Hall, looking to consolidate and move on.Joel marshall possibly the greatest player ever to grace the turf of westwood road , a fan favourite, posseses incredible technical ability a star of the very near future
