The Clipshow Wherein Dante and Randal Are Locked In The Freezer And Remember Some Of The Greatest Moments Of Their Lives is the second episode of "", both in production and airdate. It was also the second episode aired on ABC, one week after the fourth episode aired. This episode is a parody of other clip shows from various TV shows. As such, it flashbacks to and talks about the events in Leonardo Leonardo Returns and Dante Has an Important Decision to Make, the first episode. That episode never aired on ABC, so this episode flashes back on an episode that was never seen.

Disclaimer joke: "In retaliation, this show endorses no celebrities (except for Ben Affleck, pre-Reindeer Games)."

Plot summary

Dante and Randal get locked inside the Quick Stop freezer. They observe that this is like the last time they were locked in the freezer, and this begins a nested series of flashbacks as each time reminds them of another previous freezer incident, each of which ends with them vowing not to get locked in the freezer again. While in the freezer, the two look back on great moments of their lives, such as the Quicker Stop moving in next door, which only happened last week. Jay and Silent Bob enter the freezer, only to get locked in as well. The four continue to remember moments in their lives, such as seeing Caitlin Bree in a painter three-way, Dante and Randal losing all their money in Vegas, and Randal's relationship with a mistakenly delivered mail-order husband, which reminds him of the time he accidentally married Dante. Jay and Silent Bob open the freezer door, letting Dante and Randal go free. The two, however, end up locked in RST Video with the AC on full blast. The two then remember classic "Happy Days" moments, as well as all the celebrities they've seen (and assaulted) at the Quick Stop. The episode ends with Dante and Randal telling their hockey team about their freezer experience, after which they left via entering a burn ward. After that, a flashback clip parodying "Stand By Me" is shown depicting what supposedly happens to the main characters.

Jay and Silent Bob segment

"Rainy Day Fun": Jay and Silent Bob teach kids how to make a quarter disappear under a cup, by way of selling one of the kids' soul to Satan.

Running jokes

*This episode flashes back several times to a scene from the first episode with Dante and Randal climbing up a rope by walking along a wall, which is revealed to be a sideways shot when a potted plant falls between them.
*This episode features Dante as "The biggest idiot ever". This was the first time this idea was used, and was brought back in episode 4. Episode 4, however, aired before this episode.

Pop culture references

*Several references to Hoth from "", due to the temperature in the freezer.
*"Schindler's List" and "The Flintstones" are spoofed with "Flintstone's List". This segment was cut during its broadcast. [Commentary for "Clerks", episode "The Clipshow Wherein Dante and Randal are Locked in the Freezer and Remember Some of the Great Moments in Their Lives".]
*Several references to "Happy Days" are made, including the infamous moment where Fonzie jumped the shark. The Shark jumps out of the water and proceeds to eat Samuel L. Jackson.
*Twice in the episode, Samuel L. Jackson is suddenly eaten by a shark that comes out of nowhere. This is a reference to "Deep Blue Sea".
*The episode's ending is a reference to the end of the movie "Stand By Me".
