rural district inNottinghamshire ,England from 1894 to 1935.It was created under the
Local Government Act 1894 based on that part of theMansfield rural sanitary district which was in Nottinghamshire (the rest becomingBlackwell Rural District inDerbyshire ). It consisted of the parishes ofBlidworth ,Fulwood ,Haywood Oaks ,Lindhurst ,Skegby ,Sookholme andTeversal .In 1935 the district was abolished under a County Review Order. Some urbanised parts went to
Warsop andSutton in Ashfield urban district s, with the rest going mainly toSouthwell Rural District and part toBasford Rural District .References
