Hokoyo Marimba

Hokoyo is a band that plays Zimbabwean music on the marimba. The group is composed of students in the Eugene, Oregon area. The band studies marimba at Kutsinhira Cultural Arts Center. They are directed by Gary Spalter. They have recently (2006) released a CD titled "Chipembere". The band is made up of these following band members: * Casey Barkan * Michael Beardsworth * Jory Christianson * Will Dickman * Jake Roberts * Jonah Sokoloff * Eliot Stone * Mandy Walker-LaFollette * Alex Weeks * Grace Wittig And their newest member is Maceo Gutierrez-Higgins.Their repertoire is made up of the following songs
