Laszlo Krasznahorkai is a Hungarian writer, born in
Gyula , Hungary, 1954.His important works:

* "War and war", novel, 1999.

* "Destroy and Sorrow under the Heaven", novel, 2004Several movies have been made by director
Béla Tarr from Krasznahorkai's works and with his collaboration: "Damnation", "Satantango", "The Last Boat", "Werckmeister Harmonies" and " The Man from London". Krasznahorkai lives in the hills ofPilis nearBudapest , Hungary. He has won numerous prizes. His works have been translated into English (New Directions Publishers ), into German (Ammann), French (Gallimard ), Spanish (Acantilado), Polish (W.A.B.), Czech (Host), Bulgarian (Stigmati), and Japanese (Shoraisha, Keio), among other languages.Sources
