Prior to that, the freshman were housed at Jefferson Junior High School.
The school also added a new football stadium for the beginning of the 2004 school year. The new complex was named the Warren "Moke" Strong Sports Complex in honor of long time teacher, principal, and track coach Warren "Moke" Strong. Warren's son, and
Caldwell alum, Matt Strong, was the head coach of Caldwell for the teams inaugural game at the Complex.Administration

The school has developed a notorious reputation for
gang activity. Notable gangs include the East Side Locos, the West Side Loma Locos, and The 14th Street Gang. A recent incident in which a non-student entered the high school with a loaded gun prompted administration to increase security. Students are now required to wear ID cards that are to be visible at all times, on punishment ranging from detention to extended suspension. There is also a new security desk in the front entrance that is intended to discourage non-students and non-faculty from gaining forced, unauthorized entry.cite web | url = http://www.ktvb.com/news/special1/stories/ktvbn-oct0306-caldwell_high_security.287ff41.html | title = New Security Measures Taken At Caldwell High | publisher = KTVB News | date =October 03 2006 | accessdate = 2007-06-04]Teenage
pregnancy , theft, and vandalism are minor issues within the school as well. Many attribute this to the inclusion of freshmen in the student body, increasing the population of the school and decreasing its manageability. Prior to 2005, freshmen were at the top of the student body of what was formerly Jefferson Junior High School, and is now Jefferson Middle School. cite web | url = http://www.ktvb.com/news/special1/stories/ktvbn-oct0306-caldwell_high_security.287ff41.html | title = New Security Measures Taken At Caldwell High | publisher = KTVB News | date =October 03 2006 | accessdate = 2007-06-04]Notable alumni
