Franklin C. "Pepper" Rodgers has been a head coach in college football, the
United States Football League and theCanadian Football League . He was the head coach atUniversity of Kansas ,UCLA , andGeorgia Tech , and an assistant at theUnited States Air Force Academy and theUniversity of Florida . He also served as vice president of football operations for theWashington Redskins . His tenure asMemphis Mad Dogs head coach was marred by him complaining about theCanadian Football League 's style of play citing it should be a four down league.Fact|date=January 2007He was a member of Georgia Tech's 1952 national championship team as a backup quarterback and placekicker.
