Elegantly Wasted was the first single from the album Elegantly Wasted by INXS.

"Elegantly Wasted" is a deft mix of rock infused with dance beats. The band's new sound bridged the gap between the public's taste for postgrunge rock anthems, and the slinky mechanical seduction of electronica.

Unfortunately, this album was the last by Michael Hutchence, who died that same year, on November 22, 1997.

*"Elegantly Wasted" is featured on Homicide: Life on the Streets during the end of season six's premiere episode "Blood Ties."
