Émile Fisseux was a French competitor in the sport of
archery . Fisseux competed in one event inArchery at the 1900 Summer Olympics , taking third place in the 50 metre Au Cordon Doré competition. His score of 28 points was one point behind the second-place archer,Hubert van Innis , and three points behind the winner,Henri Hérouin . While Fisseux received no medal at the time, he is currently considered to be abronze medal list by theInternational Olympic Committee [- Prizes at the time were silver medals for first place and bronze medals for second, as well as usually including cash awards. The current gold, silver, bronze medal system was initiated at the1904 Summer Olympics . The International Olympic Committee has retroactively assigned medals in the current system to top three placers at early Olympics.] .Fisseux also competed in
